There are two types of members here on The Construction Collaborative:
1. Members - are people who have created a free account on the site, which creates a personal "member's page" and provides the ability to comment on articles and interact with other Members through the discussion forum and in-site chat. It's the easiest way to start engaging with the community.

There are many social networking sites out there, including those with free groups and targeted discussions. In fact, we manage a free group of about 15,000 members on LinkedIn called The Construction Management Learning Group.(https://www.linkedin.com/groups/8977187/) I also have a page on Facebook w(https://www.facebook.com/ConstructionCollaborative/)ith discussions and livestreams, and paid courses on Udemy.
I decided that a single paid membership site would offer more value.
• First, I can pull in many different content types that would have to live in many different places, all into one site. No separate logins, fees, or membership sign-ups needed.
• Second, the more you put into this site, the more you will get out of it, and I believe that people put more into things they pay for than things that are free.
• Last...less negativity! I got tired of the trolls that feel the need to post negative comments and responses to posts where people are seeking genuine answers. We all have different levels of expertise, and we all have different experiences.
This is a place where we can share that with others so that we can all become better construction management and AEC professionals.
No. We try to be as transparent as possible.
You can browse without logging in. You can join as a member of the site for free, which creates a log-in and membership pages which allows you to comment on articles, create posts and reply to others in the forum, find other members, and purchase premium content.
You can also join as a Premium Member by purchasing a monthly or annual subscription. This gives you access to essentially everything here on the site including premium content in articles, downloadable materials, courses and assessments, and videos.
There are links to content on other sites, including courses on LinkedIn Learning, which are great references but are not a part of The Construction Collaborative. These sites may have their own fees and subscriptions available.
The construction industry is in a state of continuous change as we evolve and adopt digital workflows, new technology, and new ways of thinking (Lean, Early Contractor Engagement, safety cultures, etc.). As construction professionals, we need a place to engage each other, share ideas, ask questions, and learn from each other.
I am Jim Rogers, and I am your host here at CMSocial.net. I am an author and instructor on the LinkedIn Learning platform. After spending most of my life in the construction industry, then going on to teach construction management at Arizona State University, and now on LinkedIn Learning, I realized there is a greater need in the AEC industry. We need a place to continue our learning through engagement.
Want to learn more about me? You can visit my LinkedIn Profile,(http://www.linkedin.com/in/rogersjim) or check out my construction management courses and weekly tips and tricks series on LinkedIn Learning.(https://linkedin-learning.pxf.io/trial)
Access to a network of like-minded professionals and their cumulative knowledge. We also conduct webinars, post video content, and other opportunities to learn and grow.
