New York City Meetup

Tatiana and I are working hard to set up an afternoon of networking and collaboration. We have a great space reserved, but it is limited to 25 attendees so sign up soon if you intend to come. We will being at 1:00 pm (New York time) and continue to 5:00 pm. The venue has drinks available throughout the day, and we will bring in light snacks halfway through the meeting. Our agenda is taking shape now, so check back here as we update the topics on the agenda tab. 

Meeting objectives – we plan to have large and smaller group breakouts to cover the following:

1. Networking and sharing of what you are working on - what are you excited about and what do you need advice on
2. Learning and brainstorming around latest industry trends that affects us as instructors and content creators
3. ‘Ideas that work’ sharing session by everyone attending who wants to participate

Note - If you have something you can contribute that would benefit the group, please let me know. You can message me on LinkedIn and we can see if we can work it into the agenda. For example, I have been working closely with another group on the new Collaborative Articles feature. Like it or hate it, they are serious about it and I will share what I have learned and why I think there are benefits to participating. 

Venue and Hotels - We will be meeting in the Large Boardroom at Lumninary New York. This is a co-working space in the heart of Manhattan with excellent facilities that you can use all day long. Every registered attendee for this meetup will recieve a day pass to Luminary to allow you to use the space in the morning on the day of our event so you can arrange smaller meetups, work or take calls in the various workspaces, or just sit and relax. There is also a rooftop lounge that opens later in the day, where we will most likely head after our meetup. We do not have any hotel rooms reserved, so you are on your own to make arrangements. There are many options nearby and we are in walking ditance of the Empire State Building, shopping, and dinning.
